This activity was inspired by the work of Chicago cartoonist Ivan Brunetti, who has an excellent book on learning to draw comics. You can get beyond stick figures with this drawing exercise! In this activity, students learn to draw with basic shapes (circle, square, rectangle, etc.) to create people that can move.
