Seeing Shapes Collage
Explore positive and negative space (positive space is the white shapes, negative shape is the brown paper surrounding it)! Make a collage/drawing using a brown grocery bag as a background, gluing white paper into shapes onto brown paper, then adding black shapes and patterns. Anyone who can cut with scissors or tear paper will love this activity. You will need a brown grocery bag, glue, white paper, scissors, and black pastel, marker or crayon.
