Educator's Online Toolkit

The Educator's Online Toolkit outlines ways to utilize the arts to more fully engage students in their learning. Students become more resilient when they develop creativity, confidence and compassion. Access to creativity enables youth to ask difficult questions of themselves and of the world, and gives them the confidence to speak up when they need to.

There are three pedagogies YIA encourages teaching artists to address in their teaching: Social Emotional Learning, Culturally Responsive Teaching, and Universal Design for Learning. The Educator's Online Toolkit offers resources to learn more about these core pedagogies and other best practices in reaching students.
